Job Description

Position Summery
The Business Development Manager is an indispensable member of Validity’s Development Team. You will lead the work on establishing clients spread across the corporate, public and nonprofit sectors across the MENA Region and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business. The main role will be to develop a client base within the MENA Region. This position will also ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy.
Reporting to: Managing Director
You will be involved in the entire journey with our clients, playing two critical roles: business development, and project oversight. You will have on-going client holding responsibility and will be expected to expand both current and new client relationships into more fully realized engagements. You will lead much of the client service work essential for Validity’s growth, managing the client teams to ensure quality.

Responsibilities and duties
  • Generate business, attracting new clients and retaining developed clients.
  • Impact the profitability of the company through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results
  • Marketing
  • Competitor and Market Analysis
  • Sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities
  • Identifying new methods and channels for sustainable business development
  • Developing sustainable relationships with decision makers
  • Ensure efficient and effective marketing, advertising and promotional
    planning
  • Present a budget for approval and prudently manage resources within those budgetary guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines
  • Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies
  • Achieve financial results in accordance with defined targets
  • Work with the Finance Team on contract negotiations and creation of client scopes of work.
  • Optimize a holding environment for clients through regular coordination with client and Validity Consultants, marshalling the appropriate resources for smooth execution in all client interactions.
  • Write proposals, often under difficult deadlines.

Desired Skills & Experience

Requirements:
• 10 or more years of experience within Business Development related to organizational development/ consulting
• A diversified established network within the MENA Region within the HR/ Consulting, and Training fields.
• Demonstrated ability to engage business partners.
• Proven ability to serve as the client relationship lead on high priority client engagements.
• Demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service interactions and consistent quality outputs.
• Outstanding communication skills with proven abilities to effectively engage, educate, and listen with a wide range of audiences.
• Ability to function in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
• Proven written and oral communication skills.
• Capacity to handle multiple objectives and workflows.
