Job Description:
Junior
IT Security Engineer, University technology Infrastructure (UTI)
Maintaining and configuring all IT Security systems such as Firewalls,
VPN, Intrusion Detection/Prevention systems, NAC and Vulnerability
Assessment equipment. Participate in investigating Security incidents.
Participate in maintaining Disaster Recovery /Business Continuity Plan.
Continuously screen the AUC internal network for any intrusions or
abnormalities. Participate in assessing AUC IT services for any
vulnerabilities or mis-configurations and enforcing the proper
solutions. Developing & configuring needed fine tuning to the IT
security systems. Doing Research and development for new security
technologies & methodologies. Monitoring the release of new IT
threats such as viruses, malwares, hacking tools and disclosure of
vulnerabilities. Writing custom signatures for viruses, P2P application
and malicious activities.
Job Qualification:
Minimum
education requirement: B.Sc degree in Engineering or Computer Science
or equivalent Experience: Minimum two years experience in the IT
security field in an organization on a similar scale as AUC. Skills:
Good knowledge of networking concepts • Excellent knowledge and
experience of the IT security concepts and mechanisms of defense •
Strong academic background in IT security engineering and its related
sciences such as encryption and pattern analysis • Good ethical hacking
skills • Excellent knowledge of all variants of Windows, Linux •
Experienced with programming languages and web development such as
C/C++/C#/Java/PHP/.NET/SQL •Good knowledge of Secure programming skills
& software development lifecycle • Holding IT security certification
(preferable) • R&D skills • Excellent analytical skills • Excellent
communication skills • Excellent command of English language • Level of
computer skills: Expert
