Macmillan Publishers Ltd is looking for a Managing Director to lead its very successful local company in Cairo, Egypt.Working closely with the Regional Director and Macmillan Education’s Middle East Sales & Marketing and Publishing teams in the UK, the Managing Director will develop and further consolidate Macmillan Education’s business in Egypt. He/she will provide strong leadership and direction to the Macmillan Egypt team in line with the company’s strategic growth and profitability plans. With a clear vision and sense of focus, the Managing Director will manage, inspire and motivate the team to meet new challenges and further strengthen the company’s leading market position. He/she will identify new trends and opportunities and advise on Macmillan Egypt’s longer-term strategic options.

• Complete fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic
• Experience / keen interest in education and ELT
• A high degree of business finance competence
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Qualifications:
• A good first degree, preferably in Business Studies or other commercially-related subject, publishing, education or finance.
• An MA/MSc or Post-graduate diploma in education or business studies preferable
